End of Support roadmap?

Hello,

Is there a page anywhere that describes the support model for the different versions of Play, and when they will stop receiving backports for security issues?

For instance, when was support for Play 2.6 stopped? When is Play 2.7 going to stop being supported?

Wikipedia categorises versions into “old”, “still maintained”, and “latest”. I also saw there was a CVE, that says 2.6.x has reached end of support. Is the model for working out which versions are supported, and when the support will end available anywhere? Apologies if I missed something obvious, but I can’t find one :(

Thanks!

If you are a subscriber (and therefore have support), you can find this here: https://portal.lightbend.com/LightbendPlatform/SupportedProjects#versions .

General policies:

  • Each project’s stable version will be supported for a minimum of 2 years from its origin release date.
  • Once a newer stable version is released, the previous stable version will be supported for a minimum of 1 year from the new stable’s origin release date.

Support for Play 2.6.x ended 2/1/20. Play 2.7.x ends 2/1/21.
