How to subscribe to categories?

The simplest way to stay up to date with categories you care about is to use the appropriate “Watching” status.

You can do this on any category by clicking the round icon next to the “New Topic” button, like this:

You can also configure which categories you’re watching and muting in your account preferences, to get there, click your profile icon, then “preferences” and finally the notifications section:
