I have published Dockerfiles that you can use to build a Play 1.5.1 image for development: https://github.com/ludovicofischer/docker-play1 Please use them and report any problems. Pull requests are welcome! You can also download the automated image builds from Docker hub: https://hub.docker.com/r/ludovicofischer/play1/
These are the only publically available Play 1 Docker images I could find that are updated to the latest version.
I’ve made a JDK 10 version too, but it’s mostly for testing purposes as JDK 10 is not supported by the current Play 1.
