Play 2.8 with Akka 2.7 or higher

Hello team,
I have few questions regarding usage of Play 2.8 with Akka 2.7 or higher.

  1. What is the roadmap for using Play framework? With latest release in Jan 23 states that “…news coming soon…”.
  2. Do you intend to stay in 2.6 even past its end of life?
  3. Do you expect an akka fork with a friendlier license to appear?
  4. Do you plan to move away from akka?
